First CrossFit WOD (aside from Baseline & Fundamentals): AMRAP consisting of wall balls, KB swings, and sand bag carry.
First thought after First CrossFit WOD: This is legit and I need to do it again.
Before CrossFit I did: P90x, Globo gyms, and I ran 2 marathons.
Favorite CrossFit exercise: The Snatch
Least favorite CrossFit exercise: Pull-overs
I love Kitsap CrossFit because: The community. Not every day you want to workout, but you definitely want to be around like-minded positive individuals that push you further than you ever thought you could go. Now being a KCF coach, it is a privilege to expand on this and help others experience the same through CrossFit.
Most surprising accomplishment: There are so many. CrossFit has a way of humbly breaking you down and building you back up. Most recent would be shaving twenty seconds off my Grace and getting under that 2:00 mark. Recently I hit a 250lbs snatch, and that was AWESOME! Becoming a KCF coach.
Short Term Goals: Getting more proficient at Muscle Ups by the end of the year.
Long Term Goals: Receiving my Associates from OC. Becoming a better Coach. Learning something new every class I teach and then applying it.
Hobbies: Seahawks, wine, mountain biking, running, CrossFit, home improvement projects, Tough Mudder.
Favorite food: BBQ Chicken
Freestyle: I am from the great state of OHIO born and raised (Buckeyes, National Champs!). Shannon and I served ten years active duty Coast Guard until we were stationed here in Washington and decided that this is our new home. This KCF family had a great influence on our decision. We have two dogs and no kids, yet. 2014 was a very busy exciting year for us starting our new careers and we are looking forward to a brighter, better 2015 achieving our goals with KCF.
